Maegester only. Requires Focus Matrix or Wand Matrix rank 3. This matrix is intricate and delicate. Only certain spells indicated as 'intricate' can be placed within it. They are typically more powerful than normal, and once you cast a spell in an intricate matrix, the spectral web and matrix is destroyed, and needs to be re-constructed after you have had a long rest. Only one powerful, unstable spell can be placed within an intricate matrix at a time.

Placing a spell in an Intricate matrix is arduous, taking 12 rounds (as though a ritual not in a matrix). This often requires saves to avoid passing out from fatigue. Once placed, there is no requirement to make a MAG save to successfully cast the spell.

Placing a spell in the Intricate Matrix becomes less arduous, taking 10 rounds total. Spells effectiveness increased by 1 damage step.
