How conditions interact and combine.

Same Type Conditions

Conditions of the same type don't stack, but can have levels:

  • Blessed 2 is +2 to attack and saves
  • The highest value is the only one that applies
Example: You gain the bleed (1) condition. In the next round, you gain bleed (1) again. You only have bleed (1), not bleed (2).

Condition Progression

Some conditions progress through stages. You only apply the penalties from the last progression and lose the prior condition.

Typically you need to be affected again to progress, usually by failing a saving throw which results in your condition worsening.

Multiple Different Conditions

A character can have many different conditions that apply simultaneously. All effects of each different condition apply.

If effects cannot combine, apply the most severe effect.

Condition Levels

Conditions may use 6 levels as a baseline. Higher levels represent more severe effects of that condition type. Bonds such as Love or Hate can also use 6 levels.
