The effects of aging accumulate over time.

Effects by Age

  • 40+: For every 10 years over 40, you have a permanent round of fatigue that you no longer recover with rest
  • 60: Your wound threshold decreases by 2
  • 70: You gain a permanent level of Fatigued
  • 80: You lose a point of movement
  • 90: You gain another level of fatigue permanently, and lose another point of movement

Natural Death

Every person has an expiry date on their functioning body. This is determined when you create your character, but rolled in secret so that only the GM knows.

When you hit this age, death becomes your familiar:

  • At this year you make a LIF save. If you succeed, you live another year
  • Each subsequent year, make a LIF save with -1 penalty for each full year past your expiry date
  • If you suffer an effect that ages you days or months, you must make an unmodified LIF save or die from the strain
  • If the aging effect ticks you over into the next year, you must make the save with the cumulative penalty
