The target is fragile and prone to shattering.

Effects

When damage is dealt against something with the brittle condition:

  • If you roll a maximum value on a damage die (e.g., a 6 on a d6), take that result and re-roll the dice, adding the second result
  • This may only happen once (maximum explosion of one additional roll)
  • Example: Rolling a 6, then another 6 = 12 total damage (no third roll)

Brittle Weapons

If you strike with a brittle weapon and roll max damage:

  • Roll again
  • If the total exceeds your max damage with the weapon, it breaks
